’The denim of Hawai’i’- While ‘palaka’ prints have existed in Hawai’i since the 1800’s, they continue to be popular today. Palaka has strong ties to the immigrant plantation communities that helped shape the culture of the islands.
This story of immigrant laborers from many cultures is one that we personally identify with at Project X. If you aren’t familiar with palaka prints, we hope our designs have piqued your curiosity to go and learn more!
This shirt also features an embroidered shaka on the collar.
ABOUT THE FIT
Our Aloha Shirt is based on the same size chart as our Men's tee and uses a stretch fabric. They taper at the waist with a scalloped bottom. The model is wearing a medium and also wears a medium in our other men's tanks/tees. If you have never worn one of our Aloha Shirts, we suggest stepping up one size, especially on larger sizes.
